Winterlight

Posted by Martin Schneider (Vienna, Austria) on 9 January 2007 in Plant & Nature.

I think only in the winter can one experience such light, because of the low sun. I was inspired by yesterday's photo to post another 'sky'-shot, but this one is from January 2005.
Note: I did some 'contrast-masking' on this to achieve the extreme contrast. Actually, I don't know what to think about this, because almost every 'quick' snap can be turned into a great photograph through extensive digital editing. On the other hand I'm not a purist, so I do it, too, but I always try to stick close to the original and not completely alter colours or so... Have to think about it. Maybe you like this shot. Have fun!
PS: Please feel free to leave comments they are really apreciated. Also you may want to rate my blog at VFXY. Thank you.
