sunflowers

Posted by Martin Schneider (Vienna, Austria) on 11 December 2006 in Plants & Nature.

I took this in the Summer of 2003 or 2002 I think, with a Minolta XE-1 a 27 mm lens and ASA 200 film. Unfortunately I can't find the original at the moment, though I wanted to show it to you. So I had to scan it from an inkjet print. Consequently the quality is rather poor but for the web it's sufficient, I think(I'd like to have it more sharpened but then you see the grain). I stood on a small hill to get the overview. This is a field behind our garden. Every year there's something different on this field. That year they planted sunflowers for some reason. Interestingly, the sky was of a strange purple colour that day. I don't know why. Actually I had planned to post some new analogue shots in December but there was a lack of motives and light. Practically it was gray everyday. So I still have six images left on the film. I'm using a Minolta XD-5 at the moment. I'm not sure if I'll have the pictures ready before christmas. Please be patient. If you haven't fallen asleep by now, reading this, you may want to leave a comment or rank my blog at the sites listed. Thanks in advance. I really appreciate your comments. I'm always happy about constructive critique, expression of feelings about a particular image or your opinion(nearly everything else is welcome, too).
Finally I thought today would be a good day to make my whole blog white instead of black. I think I have to get used to this.
Thanks for visiting.
